Layout: Skyline Pan

Piece 3 of 4 of a Layout and Character Design project back in school... that I later titled Under the Bed.


1 of only 2 of my best layouts. There were a total of 8, but I'm pretty bad at scenery, lol. This is one of the best.

It's actually a view of the city from the roof of my old dorm building in downtown Savannah, GA, drawn directly from a photo I took years ago. And this started as a small thumbnail-like drawing. So I just blew it up and colored it. I think it looks good with all the tiny pencil marks. gives it extra detail in places.

This is an establishing shot; like something that would pan across at the beginning of the cartoon with all the cute traffic and twittering bird sound effects, lol.

Uh... not much else about it. No, it's not San Francisco or Brooklyn... it's Savannah. The bridge is called the Talmadge.

And it's purdy.
