Self-Reliance

Eh. This made sense at the time I drew it. Read on if you care.

My original statement was

When no one's there, sometimes it's all you can do.

Something scary happened and spooked me, is all. My friend's house I was staying at was broken into. No one was hurt and the ordeal wasn't terrifying or anything... but it messed with my head something awful. To this day I'm not sure why.

But while coping with it, I felt strangely lonely and isolated. I wasn't literally isolated; but left without someone to cling to like I have a habit of doing.
This is a creative interpretation of what happens when I realize that I can't always rely on an outside source of comfort or security.

The angel-looking character there is kind of hard to explain. She is technically an OC of mine named Tavé (she's around in my gallery somewhere), but in a different form, I guess. Call her a physical representation of one of my more psychological aspects. So yes, both characters are technically me. I think only a few RL friends get who she is. And I'm to lazy to go into it. lol.
